DigiByte (DGB) in Klever - Properties, Speed, Fees & Swap
Today's newsletter addresses the properties, benefits, speed, fees and decentralization of DigiByte (DGB), and how DGB can be transacted and swapped inside the Klever App.
DigiByte (DGB)
DigiByte is an open-source blockchain, originally forked off of Bitcoin, aiming to bring a new level of security, affordability, and speed of transactions. DigiByte was launched in 2013 and is often touted as the “people’s blockchain“ due to its perceived decentralized nature. DGB did not host an ICO (Initial Coin Offering) and does not have a CEO, although DigiByte Founder and Creator Jared Tate remains a central role in DigiByte’s development and global community.
The DigiByte blockchain uses five proof-of-work (POW) mining algorithms to secure the network, which is aimed to make the protocol more accessible to a diverse set of miners, while it also allegedly reduces the risk of double-spending and 51% attacks. DigiByte’s usage of five different algorithms for mining was deployed with the stated goal of improving security, scalability, and speed when compared to Bitcoin mining.
DigiByte Fees & Speed in Klever
Klever is a decentralized p2p wallet, which means that users have total and full control of their private keys and that the Klever team cannot at any time or in any way access users’ funds or view their private keys.
All transaction fees paid in Klever wallet depend on the blockchain network the transaction is executed on, in this case, DGB. Since the DigiByte blockchain creates blocks every 15 seconds, compared with Bitcoin’s 10-minute block interval, it makes DGB 40x faster than BTC in terms of delivery speed of the transaction.
Moreover, while DGB’s fees are significantly cheaper to execute transactions in comparison with BTC, Klever users have the ability to choose between Economy, Regular, or Priority when sending DGB from the Klever app. Klever also enables real-time DGB charts, price, volume, and market cap directly in the app.
DGB in Klever Swap
In our Klever Swap, which allows users to convert any coin or token to another at the push of a button, DGB can be swapped to and from 8 coins and tokens. These include KLV, BTC, TRX, ETH, USDT-TRON, USDT-ETH, KBTC, and KETH stablecoins.
Simply visit the Swap tab in the Klever app to convert DGB and your other coins and tokens with ease, convenience, ensured privacy, high security, and precision.
